Sophie is a San Diego native, who has now been living in Los Angeles for almost seven years. She holds a Masters in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine's School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a Minor in Anthropology at UCLA. She is a proud Bruin and considers herself a life-long learner.
In her previous roles in independent schools, she has worked on Student Life teams to support students academically, socially, and emotionally. Sophie is excited to bring conflict resolution skills to TREE Academy; she believes in the power of healthy conflict in order for people to reach a state of understanding, trust, and empathy. Sophie utilizes restorative practices with students, as she feels this is the best way to allow her students to learn from their mistakes and take ownership over their actions.
In her free time, she loves to travel to new countries, spend time with friends and family, practice yoga, and try different flavors of ice cream. She is excited to be a part of the TREE community!
