Having grown up in St. Louis, MO, Greg has strong ties to his Midwestern roots. He spent the first 24 years of his life in his hometown including attending Saint Louis University and The University of Missouri of Science Technology, where he obtained his Bachelors and his Masters in Electrical Engineering, respectively. After spending 4 years designing electrical transformers, Greg was offered a position at AT&T as a Network Engineer and moved out to the Bay Area.
Disillusioned after another 4 years at AT&T, Greg realized that corporations and desk jobs were not his thing, so he quit and moved to LA in the summer of 2016. After trying his hand at various jobs such as online health and diet coaching and becoming a certified hypnotherapist, Greg eventually rediscovered his love and passion for science and mathematics and became a private tutor. He spent the next 3 years developing his tutoring business until he decided he wanted to give classroom teaching a shot. Greg accepted a position as a math teacher at TREE Academy in the fall of 2019.
Greg is thrilled that he gets to work at TREE Academy because of the opportunity to create a whole new learning experience for this generation of students. He wants to make math fun and engaging for everyone. On the weekends, you can catch him surfing the west side or in a hot yoga class. LA is in his blood now!
