Katie Davis studied studio art and mathematics at UCLA and Yale University. Her art practice focuses on perception and fractal geometry within an experimental structure. Katie creates expressive paintings, constructed intuitively in layers like the progression of a dream. She also experiments in video feedback installation work, manipulating reality in real time recording and iteration.
Katie approaches her teaching from a visual perspective, and seeks to inspire in her students the mystery and magic that inspires her art work. Her teaching style incorporates a relational perspective with the tangible world to illuminate the role of geometry in life.
