Ray has spent his life seeking opportunities to work with and empower people from all walks of life. There is nothing greater than seeing people light up from what brings them joy, to see them feel confident, and to see them find the truth in what they do and believe.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Ray graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Social Science: Public and Community Service. From there he went on to work with various youth and mentoring programs before becoming the Roadtrip Director for Roadtrip Nation, a documentary series on PBS focused on helping young people define their roads in life. Ray was able to discover what it means to really support others when he started Eayikes with fellow TREE teacher, Alex Yoon. Ray realized the true power of building up young people, helping them reflect, share and build empathy for others. The day after camp he knew it was where he had put his life's energy towards, and he left his job. For the past 5 years, Ray has been working on building Eayikes and its community, as well as working as a community builder in classrooms for the Long Beach Unified School District. He recently moved up to LA to further work on Eayikes and become part of the TREE Family.
