Storey Sheinberg is a Los Angeles native. Storey holds a Master's in Education from Antioch University with a focus on leadership and change. She is a graduate of Pitzer College (the Claremont Colleges) having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Music. Storey is currently pursuing her California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
An accomplished guitarist of 15+ years, Storey is a dedicated, heart and soul driven musician. She has led and continues to lead her own band, Storey and The Tellers, since 2008 as lead guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter (music, instrumentation, lyrics) of all the band’s original songs. Storey emphatically believes that integrating music into education opens up a world of creativity, curiosity, and deep appreciation for learning in the minds of our precious learners.
Storey believes that when imaginations are ignited, inspiration can be found almost anywhere; passions are realized, and one catapults into a universe of transformative potential. For Storey, the endlessly diverse and infinite opportunities to wonder, to discover and dream is the most exciting element of being an educator.
Storey is an avid practitioner of Krav Maga, the combat self-defense system used by the Israeli Defence Forces. Storey has achieved the beginning expert Level 4 ranking (Green Belt) and aspires to earn her Black Belt.
Storey has great admiration and respect for kids and is proud to be scaffolding a unique and exciting educational experience. With an extensive background in progressive educational praxis, Storey is especially thrilled to be a part of our growing TREE community. Storey is the Assistant Director of School.
