Born and raised in Southern California, Vicki Mayer loved watching music videos and commercials. In her second year of college at California State University of Northridge (CSUN) majoring in Film, Vicki was awarded the opportunity to do a coveted internship at the leading production company at the time; Propaganda Films. The award-winning company selected one student each semester for a chance to participate in all levels of production.
The relationships she built and the skills she developed at Propaganda Films helped prepare her for a successful producing career that has spanned over three decades in live action production, editing and visual effects.
Vicki has consulted for several Fortune 500 brands on their advertising campaigns and production strategies, set countless budgets for domestic and international shoots, and has helped educate her clients on the post production process.
Over the past five years, Vicki has fostered a life-long interest in American Sign Language (ASL). She has been studying with acclaimed actress, activist and ASL instructor Stephanie Nogueras, and continues to work on expanding her communication skills. Vicki has a distinct passion for deaf culture/issues pertaining to tolerance and accessibility.
Vicki’s goal is to have everyone that passes through the doors of TREE Academy to not only learn the beautiful and creative language of ASL, but also gain an appreciation for what makes it so special.
